Felix Martl, born 1995 in Austria, studied clarinet Konzerfach Master and IGP Bachelor with Bertram Egger and studied PPCM Master with the Klangforum Wien at the Kunstuniversität Graz.

Since 2005 he has been taking lessons from various lectures such as Johann Hindler, Nick Kückmaier, Wolfgang Kornberger, Reinhard Uhl, Arnold Plankensteiner, Bernhard Zachhuber and Olivier Vivares as well as masterclasses with Mate Bekavac and Wenzel Fuchs.

Felix played first clarinet in several youth orchestra and project-orchestra like the Kasematten Festspiel Orchester, szene instrumental and many others.

He won several first prices in ensemble and solo competitions. At the beginning of his studies at the KUG in 2016 he had a baby which is now a curious child with a natural entry to the beautiful world of music and a companion at many concerts and rehearsals.

Felix works as a studio-/session- and an ensemble musician in various constellations from classic and contemporary music to popular and world music. Within that he is living his passion for deep moments between the audience and the musicians in over 1000 concerts. With his curiosity about sound and texture, he has been working on a couple of dozen recordings playing various instruments like clarinet, saxophone, flute, piano, synthesizers, guitar, percussions and vocals as well as writing arrangements for string-/brass-sections.
